Enabling Works Contract, Shannonside Recreational Campus, Carrick on Shannon
In October 2023, MAHON LTD was appointed as PSCS and Main Contractor for enabling works contract to facilitate the construction of a state of the art sports facility. When constructed the campus will have a 400m running track, full size 4G pitch, outdoor floodlit grass pitch, 2 indoor basketball courts and a hurling wall.
Our works on the 5.5 hectare (13.5ac) site involve archaeology supervised topsoil strip, cut and fill of approx. 42,000m3 of material to be kept on site. Design and construction of a soil reinforced embankment 5m high, construction of 4500m2 car and bus park area, diversion of overhead ESB wires and installation of new ESB substation to the campus.
Works are currently on-going on this project.
